The 1967 James Bond film You Only Live Twice stars Sean Connery as 007 in an exotic adventure set mainly in Japan, where Bond investigates the mysterious hijacking of U.S. and Soviet spacecraft during the Cold War. His mission leads him to uncover that SPECTRE, led by the enigmatic Ernst Stavro Blofeld, is behind the plot to trigger World War III. With the help of Japanese intelligence chief Tiger Tanaka and agent Aki, Bond trains as a ninja, goes undercover in a remote fishing village, and infiltrates Blofeld’s secret volcano lair. Packed with spectacular action sequences, impressive sets, and a memorable John Barry score, You Only Live Twice epitomizes the larger-than-life Bond style of the 1960s.
