For his encore, Al Di Meola invited the members of the audience to share the performance and surround the stage. To honor the memory of of Bob Weir (who passed away 6 days before this concert), Al and his band performed an excellent instrumental cover of the Grateful Dead's Uncle John's Band. **Although Al's setlist indicated that the last composition should have been Mediterranean Sundance, we think he made a change and added another songs to end the concert at the Plaza Live Theatre in Orlando, Florida on January 16, 2026. Uncle John's Band was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter and was the opening track and lead single from Workingman's Dead, the Grateful Dead's fourth studio album released in June 1970.
