BMW 330i Radiator Replacement DIY (2019-Present BMW G20, G22 430i, G42 230i)

►Radiators need to be positioned at the front of the car to get clean and cool airflow. Unfortunately, that makes them somewhat vulnerable to road debris and minor impacts. Either way, a leaking radiator is a damaged radiator that needs replacing. In older models, that meant an involved job followed by a tedious procedure to bleed the cooling system. However, these modern BMWs have a built-in feature that eliminates the pesky bleeding process.

Road debris can puncture a radiator core, but it's more likely that the plastic tanks on either side of the core will crack and leak. It's not a normal occurrence or failure in this new generation, but things happen on the road, and you may find yourself with a leak. Luckily, the process isn't too involved. Draining coolant can be messy, but the physical process is free of overly technical steps, so it's perfectly doable in a DIY setting.
