For decades, the Body Mass Index (BMI) has been used to classify whether someone is underweight, healthy, overweight, or obese. But BMI doesn’t actually measure body fat, fat distribution, or metabolic health, which means it can often be misleading.
In this video, I break down why BMI isn’t a reliable measure of health, and what you should use instead, including waist circumference and waist-to-height ratio, which are better indicators of long-term metabolic and cardiovascular risk.
