Clonidine (Catapres): A benzodiazepine alternative

In this video, we discuss the medication clonidine and its use in anxiety. Oftentimes providers will use a medication like clonidine as opposed to a benzodiazepine since clonidine is not addicting. However, it is important to remember that even clonidine comes with risks and in my opinion, should only be used short-term or sparingly as needed.
