Dr. Sam Schroetke of Physical Therapy & Hand Clinic of Hillsboro demonstrates a Modified Plank, which can be used to strengthening the oblique muscles. This is an easier version of the traditional Side Plank Exercise.
Hold the up position for 6-10 seconds and repeat for 10-15 reps. Then repeat on the other side.
Check with your physical therapist or physician before performing this exercise to make sure that it is appropriate for you.
