This Feldenkrais series focuses on non invasive ways of accessing pelvic floor and abdominal strength, and function. For both men and women, improving the ability to both relax and engage the pelvic floor can have positive effects and create a marked improvement to heal incontinence, pelvic pain, postpartum weakness, chronic low back pain, improve balance, hip surgery , and pain during sex.
Pre and post-lesson notes:
It is common for students to feel the need to take a bathroom break during the lesson. Please honor those sensations, the recordings can always be paused.
Some students comment on pelvic floor lessons as bringing up emotions that they did not expect.
You may notice after the lesson that your pelvic floor often feels more contracted than is necessary. Noticing this is normal and so useful! Noticing is the first step toward reducing excess effort and having more control and easier movement.
Please be open to whatever you encounter. New sensations, or things you may not expect could occur. Be present for those feelings. Especially the first lessons will teach you something about yourself as you become more aware through listening to the subtleties.
