Lower Trap Raise aka Trap 3 Raise is a vital remedial exercise to strengthen the lower traps and back. Because this is a simple, single joint movement strengthening a smaller group of muscles, it should be done at the end of workouts. Start light and focus on engagement - this is not an exercise meant to be heavy or extremely fatiguing but instead used to strengthen the smaller muscles of the back that might be keeping you from seeing strength and size gains of bigger muscles like the lats.
Programming suggestions: I'd add this toward the end of a lift and train at a minimum of 8 reps.
