Famous vegetarian curry in #Mauritius, here I present to you my version of Curry Burry (or Cari Bari). This is a gravy curry based on the famous Maurition Gateau piment (Gato Pima) which is Split Peas (Dal Petit Pois) Fritters.To sum up, Gateau Piment is prepared and cooked in a thick gravy. I have added in this recipe potato and eggplant (aubergine)

Ingredients:
Split Pea fritters (Gato Piment)
•As per recipe in description below
•Reserve 1/2 cup of plain dal paste for the curry
2 medium potatoes (peeled and cut in pieces)
2 medium eggplants
1 onion (diced)
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp masala spices powder
1 tsp turmeric powder (saffron)
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste and oil
curry leaves
1 handful fried onions
1 bunch coriander (chopped)
1 plain yoghurt
1 green chilli (sliced)
