In this video we are going to take a look at some of the muscle slings in the body based on Thomas Myers Anatomy Trains work. This gives you a basic exercise to do to assess each of these slings of muscles essential for normal everyday movements. Assessing your ability to do each of these will help you identify areas of weakness to help focus on areas requiring work .
We will look at:
The primary sling or deep core and then add on the other Abdominals
The deep neck flexors
The posterior oblique sling
The anterior oblique sling
The deep longitudinal sling
The lateral sling
We finish with a look at scapula/thoracic stability
