This 60-minute gentle Chair Yoga class explores the difference between active mobility (using your muscles to move and hold a stretch) and passive mobility (using our arms, hands and chair to go deeper). We balance both through stretches for the hips, spine, and shoulders.
Class begins with pranayama, moves through active and passive mobility work, and ends with a supported Tree Pose and a relaxing Savasana.
Most of the class is seated, with about 15–20 minutes of supported standing poses to help improve strength, balance, and confidence. No yoga mat needed—just a sturdy chair and a willingness to move, breathe, and feel good.
What is Chair Yoga?
Chair Yoga is a gentle style of yoga done while sitting and standing with the support of a chair. Each class begins with breathwork and warm-up stretches, progresses into modified standing poses, and ends with a calming Seated Savasana to help you unwind and restore.
