Day 6 ⊹ Restorative yoga - Soften to release

Welcome to day 6 of the ROOT TO RISE YOGA CHALLENGE ✨
It’s a 40 min restorative yoga 🪷
This class is accessible for all level.
You will need blocks, and pillows for this class. If you don’t have blocks, you can use thick books.
We begin the class in childpose, followed by intuitive movements, series of cat/cow and twisted puppy pose, to gently relax your back muscles. And release the weight from your hips.
We then pursue the class with low lunge on both side, downward facing dog and forward fold.
With this poses, you will find stretches in the side body, and the back of your legs.
Moving into a pranayama practice called « Nadi Shodhana », calming the nervous system, and balancing both hemisphere of the brain. If you loose the rythm of the breath, simply follow your own :).
We end the class with various seated asanas, forward fold, and deep final rest on the pillow.
For your last pose of this practice, feel free to stay on the pillow or, find savanasa laying down on your back.
I invite you to enjoy this moment to relax deeply, and bring all your energy to your body. Observing how it feels, and where you can soften a bit more. Just to feel a little bit better in your body, it is your first home :)
🪷Restorative yoga is also a practice for the mind, as we are not constantly moving from pose to pose in this practice. We hold them for a longer time. When we do so, we are sending a signal to the body, that it is in a safe place. It allow full relaxation, the body can start repairing our cells, on a deeper level.
